About KGK Diamonds

  • KGK Group is a family-owned gems and jewellery house, founded in Jaipur in 1905 and headquartered in Dubai.
  • KGK Diamonds is the group's natural-diamond business. It runs mines to market: rough sourced directly (De Beers Sightholder), cut and polished in our own facilities, and sold as certified diamonds to the trade.
  • Our customers are wholesalers, jewellery manufacturers, retailers and online jewellery brands, served from India, Dubai, Antwerp, New York and Hong Kong.
  • For decades the business ran on relationships. A few years ago we launched our own B2B trading platform (web and mobile), where verified buyers search certified stones, bid in recurring auctions (New Arrivals, Bid to Buy), register demand and order directly. Online is now a material and fast-growing share of our sales.
  • We use AI tools and agents across our research, analysis and content work. You will use them every day.

Why this role exists

  • The platform already has many of the features buyers ask for, but too many of our customers do not know them, or use only one way of buying.
  • Our sales teams across five hubs need better tools to sell the platform as confidently as they sell the relationship.
  • Trade buyers increasingly find suppliers through search engines and AI assistants. We want the platform found, and described correctly, in both.

What you will own

1. Positioning, messaging and launches
  • Define who the platform is for and why each type of buyer should use it: wholesalers and traders, independent and chain retailers, online jewellery brands.
  • Write the messaging for each buying mode (Regular Stock, New Arrivals, Bid to Buy) and for features such as Add Demand, Match Pair and Saved Search, in one framework that marketing, sales and product all use.
  • Plan a launch with the product lead and engineering for every meaningful release, before it ships: who it is for, the message, the channels, the sales briefing and the measure of success.
2. Auctions and adoption
  • Bring more active bidders into every New Arrivals and Bid to Buy auction.
  • Move existing buyers from occasional to regular use, and from one buying mode to more than one.
  • Build adoption plans with account managers for our largest buyers.
  • Run onboarding, in-platform education and lifecycle journeys (email, WhatsApp, push) with the CRM and marketing automation team, testing each journey end to end before it goes live.
3. Sales enablement
  • Help account managers move their customers' repeat orders onto the platform.
  • Give sales teams in all five hubs pitch guides, demo scripts, objection handling and competitor battlecards, and run short, regular training sessions.
4. Customer and market insight
  • Speak with customers across segments and hubs every month, and turn what you hear into input for the product roadmap and the messaging.
  • Track how competing diamond manufacturers position and sell their platforms.
5. Search and paid (hands-on, a smaller share of the role)
  • Do the SEO for the platform and feature pages yourself, with the web team handling technical fixes.
  • Make sure the platform appears, and is described accurately, in AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
  • Run small paid tests on Meta, LinkedIn or Google for launches and new trade-buyer sign-ups, and stop what does not work.

How we will measure your work

  • Active bidders per auction.
  • Buyers using more than one buying mode, and active buyers per hub.
  • Feature adoption after each launch.
  • New verified buyers and their cost, and search visibility for platform pages, including in AI answers.
  • Each adoption campaign is compared with a similar group of accounts that did not receive it, so we can tell what adds sales and what only moves existing sales online.
  • You report monthly against our online share of sales, which you move together with sales and product.

What this role is not

  • Not a product manager. You will not write product specifications or run the engineering backlog. You will shape them with customer insight.
  • Not a full-time channel specialist. Your SEO, AI search and paid work is hands-on but a smaller share of the role. Social media and the wider company website have their own owners.
  • Not a sales role. You make the sales team better at selling the platform. You do not carry a sales target.

Your first 90 days

  • By day 30: learn the trade, the platform and the buyer. Speak with at least 15 customers and every sales hub. Audit our messaging, our sales material, and how the platform shows up in search and AI answers.
  • By day 60: approved positioning and messaging for each buyer segment. The first sales enablement kit in use.
  • By day 90: your first launch run end to end, including its search and paid support, with a measured result. A monthly report on the numbers above.

What you bring

Must have
  • 5 to 8 years in marketing, including at least 3 in product marketing for a B2B digital platform, marketplace or software product.
  • Launches you can point to with adoption results, not only the campaign output.
  • Hands-on SEO or AI search work you did yourself, with results you can show, plus paid campaigns you ran yourself on Meta, LinkedIn or Google, even at small budgets.
  • You use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) every day to research, draft, analyse and test. You check the output before it ships and know what data must never go in. Bring one AI workflow you rely on each week.
  • Comfort with data: you can pull and read product and CRM reports (Excel, dashboards) without waiting for an analyst.
  • Clear, plain writing for expert readers. You can explain a technical feature in one short paragraph.
  • A record of working closely with sales teams, including senior sales leaders, and earning their trust. Bring one example where you changed how a sales team sells.
Good to have
  • Experience in diamonds, jewellery, gemstones or another relationship-led B2B trade.
  • Exposure to auction, bidding or marketplace products.
  • You have built a simple AI automation or agent yourself.
  • Hands-on use of lifecycle tools (CleverTap or similar), product analytics (PostHog or similar), Zoho CRM, and SEO tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4 and WordPress.
  • B2B lead generation through paid campaigns, where the goal is verified business buyers rather than consumer clicks.
  • Customer interviewing skill: you ask about what buyers did, not what they think they might do.
  • Ease working across regions and time zones: India, the Middle East, Europe, the US and Hong Kong.
